An upcoming webinar from the National Black Women’s HIV/AIDS Network, Inc. (NBWHAN) on Tuesday, January 8th, 2019 will examine the current epidemic of overdoses,  its impact on the health care, criminal justice and addiction treatment  and why Black women are uniquely impacted  these issues. The presentation will look at historic developments in these areas and identify ways in which there is opportunity and an imperative to ensure Black women’s physical and mental health needs are met.

As issues of addiction and overdose epidemic, HIV, health care and criminal justice intersect with hepatitis C, this presentation is a good opportunity to learn more about opportunities to serve marginalized populations who face multiple barriers to care.
